Back at The Meadow on Wednesday evening kick off 7:45pm as we take on Barton Rovers in the Southern League Division One Central.

Based in Barton-le-Clay, Bedfordshire, Barton Rovers Football Club were founded in 1898 and have long been a familiar name on the Southern League non-league circuit, playing their home matches at Sharpenhoe Road.

In recent seasons, Rovers have continued to compete at Step 4 of the National League System, combining experienced non-league players with emerging talent. Former striker Nathan Jarman moved into management at the club in 2021, assisted by Danny North, helping provide continuity both on and off the pitch.

The 2025/26 campaign proved a positive one, with Rovers finishing ninth in the Southern League Division One Central, recording 20 victories from their 42 league fixtures. Their FA Cup campaign saw them defeat Brantham Athletic 2-0 in the Preliminary Round before bowing out with a 4-1 defeat away to Billericay Town in the First Qualifying Round.

With more than 125 years of history behind them, Barton Rovers remain an established and competitive presence in Southern League football.

Our visitors have moved up to 13th in the league on 11 points from 11 games with victories over Beaconsfield Town and Biggleswade Town in their last 2 games. The Ducks continue to struggle to find victories with narrow defeats to Marlow and London Lions leaving them in 20th position on 6 points from 8 games.
