Chairman's Update - July 2026

Pre-season is nearly complete and has proved extremely valuable, both in building player fitness and integrating our new additions into the squad. With the fixtures for the new season now confirmed, we’re set for a run of highly competitive games in the opening weeks. 

We’d love to see as many supporters as possible backing the Ducks at Beaconsfield and helping the team get off to a positive start in both league and cup competitions. If you’re bringing the family, don’t forget to register for free Under-16 season tickets, ensuring young fans can enjoy every home league match throughout the campaign.

Chesham United 

The pitch renovations at The Meadow have progressed exactly to plan, despite the challenging weather conditions. The work has delivered a first class playing surface for next season, giving the squad the perfect platform to showcase their ability — no excuses. 

A new ANPR parking system will also be in place when we return to Chesham in September, following recent security issues. Season ticket holders and Gold Club members will be invited to submit their vehicle registration details so they can be added to the approved list. We will share further guidance and timelines ahead of our return to ensure the process is smooth for all supporters.

Committee

We’ve had a strong response so far, with several supporters stepping forward to join our new committees. Their commitment is already making a difference — but we still need more hands across the club. 

If you have skills that could benefit Aylesbury United, we’d love to hear from you. There are plenty of roles to fill, whether it’s organising events, co ordinating matchday operations, supporting community engagement, or helping with media and communications. Every contribution strengthens the club and helps us deliver the best possible experience for supporters, players and partners.

Presidents Club

I am delighted to announce the formation of the Aylesbury United Presidents Club — an honorary ambassadorial group recognising individuals who have made an exceptional contribution to the long term success, reputation, and heritage of our football club. 

We are proud to confirm that Roger Simmonds has kindly agreed to lead this new initiative and will serve as our Club President. Roger’s decades of dedication to Aylesbury United make him the perfect figure to guide and represent this distinguished group. 

Over the coming weeks, the Board will be inviting selected individuals to join the Presidents Club, with formal announcements to be made at upcoming matches. This is an important step in celebrating those who have shaped our journey and continue to embody the values of Aylesbury United.

Squad Update

Paul Batchelor has retained the core senior players from last season and added a group of exciting young talents to strengthen the squad for the campaign ahead. The club is pleased to welcome Chase Matthew, Harry Gallagher, Bakary Daffeh, Jordan Okwesa, Wil Turner, Juwon Akintunde and Alfie Anderson to the Ducks, and we look forward to seeing them make their mark in green and white. 

We can also confirm that Matt Kelloway has left the coaching staff, and we thank him for his contribution to the club. At this time, there are no plans to appoint a replacement, and the existing coaching team will continue preparations for the new season.

Summer Events

A team of volunteers will be proudly representing Aylesbury United at Live in the Park on 29th August 2026. As we do not currently have a fixture scheduled for that day, we’re inviting any supporters who would like to help to get involved.

Season Tickets

Following an excellent response to season ticket sales, the club has decided to extend the 10% Early Bird discount (code: EARLYBIRD2026) until 9th August 2026. The code can be applied after selecting your ticket type, giving supporters a little extra time to secure their place for the new season. 

Supporters can purchase their season tickets using the link at the bottom of these notes. Alternatively, you may wish to consider the Gold Club, which allows payments to be spread over a 12 month period and includes additional benefits such as lunches and exclusive access to club events.

Media Team

I hope you’ve enjoyed the increased social media activity and the improved information now available across our club websites. The media team is committed to delivering comprehensive coverage of every Aylesbury United game this season, ensuring supporters can stay fully connected wherever they are. 

In game updates will be provided via the @21DucksTrust Twitter account, offering goal by goal coverage throughout each match. Please make sure you’re following them, so you don’t miss a moment of the action.

Sponsorship

We’ve had an excellent response to player sponsorship for the upcoming season, and we’d like to thank everyone who has already committed their support. There are still player kit and socks sponsorships available, and we encourage anyone interested to get involved.

I’d like to welcome Consoul NLP as a community partner, we are working on adding new community partners who will be showcased throughout the upcoming season — both at matches and in our digital matchday programme. These partnerships play a vital role in rebuilding and strengthening the club’s association with the town, and we look forward to welcoming new members into the Ducks family as the season progresses.
