The Ducks travel to Hertfordshire on Saturday 21st March 2026 kick off 3:00pm, as Aylesbury United FC face high flying Hitchin Town FC in the Pitching In Southern League Division One Central.

An excellent (4:0) home win on Saturday against our nearest rivals in the relegation battle has seen us open up an eight-point gap and move a step towards safety. After a cagey first half, Fin (3) and Rocko combined to get the 3 points. A clean sheet was also well deserved and hopefully instils confidence as we move towards the closing games of the season. This was followed up by a hard fought point against Thame United on Wednesday night after the visitors scored a late equaliser to deny The Ducks all 3 points.

Hitchin Town FC are on 73 points, sitting in second place, 6 points behind the leaders Leighton Town. Following some suprise defeats to Leverstock Town and Biggleswade, The Canaries have returned to form with free scoring victories against AFC Dunstable, Enfield FC and Beaconsfield Town.

The Ducks are now 8 points clear of Enfield FC and within 1 point of Leverstock Green. The other teams at the bottom were unable to pick up points at the weekend. Enfield and Leverstock Green drew 1:1 on Tuesday so no change at the bottom with 7 games remaining.

The twice attempted reverse fixture ended in a 0:2 victory for Hitchin in January after the original game was abandoned shortly before half time due to a waterlogged pitch.

The online Box Office site will be open until half an hour after kick off. If fans are unable to buy online tickets in advance, there is a Match Day ticket window where tickets can be bought on the day of the game by card payment only - no cash. This window is situated in the Top Field car park, and will be open from 1.30 to 3.15. From here supporters will have to walk back to the turnstiles on Fishponds Road to gain entry to the ground (2 minutes). The ground is card only for all payments, no cash will be accepted, including in the ground and the bar.

Anyone arriving after 15:15 without a ticket, when the Match Day ticket office is closed, will have to buy a ticket online from their phone if they wish to gain entry to the game. The Ticket Office will not re-open to conduct card payment sales once closed. 

Car Parking: 

The Club has regrettably had to make recent changes to car parking arrangements at Top Field, because of a significant reduction in available space in our car park. There is no parking available at Top Field for supporters. There is on-street parking within 5-10 minutes’ walk of the ground, and a car park within 15 minutes’ walking distance of the ground (Bancroft, SG5 1PP): 

Registered Blue Badge Holders: 

Supporters can contact the club in advance of the game (at least 48 hours please), by emailing parking@hitchintownfc.club and request a space. This will ensure that a suitable parking space is allocated to them (subject to availability).
