Our opening Pitching In Southern League Division One Central match away to Potters Bar Town will take place on Saturday 15th August 2026 kick off at 3:00pm.
Our hosts were unfortunately relegated from Step 3 last season. History shows the “Scholars” and the “Ducks” have met each other eight times with Aylesbury United winning five of these matches. Today’s hosts were formed by teacher and students and called themselves Mount Grace Old Scholars in 1960. They became Potters Bar Town in 1991 when the joined the Spartan South Midlands League.
Potters Bar started the season on Saturday with a 2:2 draw at home to Hertford Town before winning 4:2 away at Waltham Abbey on Tuesday night. They added Albie Hall (last seasons top scorer) to the squad so will be among the favourites for the league title.
Aylesbury United lost 3:2 at home to Flackwell Heath in the FA Cup in a re-arranged match following a power failure at our temporary groundshare in Beaconsfield.
Potters Bar have announced that the Premier League Trophy, won last season by Arsenal, will be on display at The Lantern Community Stadium on Saturday.
