On Saturday 28th March 2026 at 3:00pm, Aylesbury United FC travel to Rayners Lane FC in the Pitching In Southern League Division One Central.

Last weekend resulted in The Ducks losing 3:1 to a superb Hitchin Town FC. The promotion chasing Canaries took the lead in the first half and looked in complete control although The Ducks did well to keep in touch. A breakaway equaliser early in the second half gave the few supporters who travelled some hope but it was quickly extinguished by two further goal giving Hitchin a deserved victory in front of 900+ home supporters.

Rayners Lane have had a disappointing season and are on 17 points in 21st place. The 2:0 defeat to Thame last Saturday confirmed relegation from the Southern League. Their last points came in a 2:1 win away to Hadley.

The reverse fixture resulted in a 3:1 victory for The Ducks back in early December. The lads will be looking for a repeat performance to re-establish an 8 point lead over Enfield FC who secured a shock 2:1 victory over league leaders Leighton Town last weekend.
