It's back to Southern League action and our long awaited return to The Meadow on Sunday 20th September 2026, with an earlier kick off time of 1pm where we face Royston Town FC
who rejoin the league following relegation from step 3 last season.
Our visitors lost 2-1 at home to Biggleswade FC on Tuesday night, the game turned when goalscorer Adam Murray was sent off in the 64th mninute meaning they current sit in 10th place after 5 games played. Known as “The Crows” they were founded in 1895 two years before Aylesbury United. Royston are the third oldest club in neighbouring Hertfordshire behind Hitchin Town and Bishops Stortford.
The Ducks have suffered back to back away defeats, 4:2 at Hertford Town in the league followed by exiting the FA Trophy 2:0 against Takeley. Performances in both matches were below the levels seen during the opening games of the season and we know this team can perform much better. Past history does not point in the Ducks favour however, 6 matches played and 6 wins for Royston, who have scored 19 goals and conceded just 3. The most recent meeting was a 5:2 victory for Royston Town in April 2017.

Directions: Leave Aylesbury on the A413 towards Amersham/London, bypassing Wendover. At the double roundabout at Great Missenden, turn left onto the B485 towards Chesham. On entering Chesham, turn right at the Queens Head on to Wey Lane, then left on to Germain Street and right on to King Street. Follow this road as it becomes Amy Lane to the end, before taking the 3rd exit at the roundabout to enter the ground.
Parking: Available at the ground or if additional space is needed there is free parking on the gravel hardstanding area on The Moor (NB height restricted entry, cars only)
