Takeley FC

Saturday 12th September sees Aylesbury United return to FA Trophy action in the second qualifying round away to Isthmian North side Takeley FC. 

One of the proudest moments in Takeley's history came in 2025, when they secured promotion to Step 4 of the National League System after defeating Woodford Town 2-0 in the Essex Senior League Play-Off Final in front of a record crowd of over 1,000 supporters. Promotion marked a historic milestone, earning the club its place in the Isthmian League North Division for the first time.

The Ducks go into this game following a 4-2 defeat in the league to Hertford Town. Takeley were also in league action getting a 3-2 win against Buckhurst Hill. They are 5th in the table on 7 points after 2 wins, a draw and a defeat.

Directions: Take the A41 eastbound out of Aylesbury towards Tring and Watford, then join the M25 motorway at Kings Langley (Junction 20). Head clockwise on the M25 (towards Heathrow/M11), and exit onto the M11 northbound at Junction 27. Follow the M11 up to Junction 8 (Birchanger Green Roundabout/Stansted Airport). Take the exit onto the B1256 (Dunmow Road) eastbound, which leads directly into Takeley.
