Tring Athletic

On Tuesday 14th July 2026 at 7:45pm, Aylesbury United FC will face Tring Athletic in a pre-Season friendly. 

We visit our near Hertfordshire neighbours for this pre-season friendly. Our hosts play at step 5 in the Spartan South Midlands Premier Division finishing last season (25/26) in 7th place. They play in Red and Black and are managed by Ryan Sturges. Formed in 1958 as an under 21 side, gaining promotion through local leagues.

They have played at Cow Lane since 2003 following the amalgamation with Tring Town FC. The ground is now known as The Michael Anthony Stadium. Notable names to have played for both clubs include Max Hercules son of our former record appearance holder Cliff Hercules (669 apps + 301 goals ) of course now overtaken by Jack Wood (697 apps). Also featuring Lee Stobbs, Harry Jones, Brett Court,….
