A Message from the New Chairman of Aylesbury United FC

Today, I (John Woodhouse) have the privilege of announcing that I have been asked to take on the role of Chairman of Aylesbury United FC — a sentence I never imagined I would write when I first stood on the terraces at Buckingham Road as a young supporter more than 35 years ago.

This club has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve celebrated the highs, endured the lows, and shared countless memories with generations of Ducks supporters. To now be entrusted with leading the club forward is deeply humbling.

My career in business has given me the tools to build, to plan, and to lead. But my heart has always belonged to Aylesbury United. My commitment is simple: to serve this club with integrity, ambition, and dedication.

We stand at a pivotal moment in our history. With the dedication of our board, the passion of our supporters, and the strength of our community, we will continue building a club that Aylesbury can be proud of — on and off the pitch.

We have an exciting journey ahead: strengthening our foundations, growing our community presence, and continuing the work to secure a home in the town we represent. None of this can be achieved alone. It will take all of us — supporters, volunteers, partners, players and sponsors.

With the support of David Brown, Managing Director of the CIC, and the exceptional board we have assembled, I believe we have the tools to create something truly special for both the club and the town.

I would also like to place on record my gratitude to Graham Read, who for more than 20 years has been instrumental in ensuring the club’s survival and has worked tirelessly to bring about a return to the town. His commitment through some of the most challenging periods in our history has played a significant role in keeping Aylesbury United alive for future generations.

I look forward to meeting fans at The Bell Hotel on 30th May 2026. I promise to give everything I have to help our club thrive.

Up the Ducks.
