Biggleswade Town

The Ducks travel to Biggleswade Town on Saturday 17th October kick off 3pm in the Pitching In Southern League Division One Central.
One of Bedfordshire’s oldest football clubs, Biggleswade Town FC have enjoyed some of the most successful years in their long history during the modern era.
The Waders won the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division in 2008/09, earning promotion to the Southern League. After establishing themselves at the higher level, another significant step forward came in 2012/13 when they defeated Godalming Town and Rugby Town in the play-offs to secure promotion to the Southern League Premier Division. The following years saw Town become established at Step 3 of the non-league pyramid.
In 2014/15, the club also reached the FA Cup First Round Proper for the first time in its history, eventually going out to Stourbridge. After several seasons at Premier Division level, the Waders were relegated to Division One Central in 2022. Their stay at Step 4 proved temporary, however, with Biggleswade Town winning the Southern League Division One Central championship in 2023/24 and returning to the Premier Central Division.
The return to Step 3 lasted just one season, with Town relegated again in 2025. In 2025/26 they challenged for an immediate return, finishing fourth in Division One Central, before their promotion hopes ended with a 2-1 play-off semi-final defeat against neighbours Biggleswade FC. Today, the Waders continue their Southern League journey, representing a club with more than 150 years of footballing history behind them.
This season Biggleswade Town sit 17th in the league on 9 points from 11 games following a 2-0 defeat away to Stotfold on Tuesday night. The Ducks continue to struggle with the squad not stretched thin through injuries. The recent run of 4 league defeats leaves the club on 6 points and rooted in the relegation places.
