Today we had the pleasure of hosting the Buckinghamshire Football Lodge at the club for a fantastic event. Today’s gathering marked their first ordinary meeting held outside of their inception at Wycombe Wanderers, making it a particularly special occasion.
The event was a great success, bringing additional supporters through the gates along with a match sponsorship. We are also delighted to share that the Buckinghamshire Football Lodge will now be meeting at the club annually as one of their adopted clubs.
In addition, the Masons in attendance collectively raised £500 for Youth Concern, which was a fantastic contribution.
The event also introduced the club to a new network of potential sponsors and supporters, with many of the attendees being Bucks-based and passionate football fans.
We also heard from speakers across the afternoon, reflecting on Aylesbury United’s past, present and future.
Past: Mike spoke about the history of the club and his book, sharing some great stories from over the years, with copies available on the day.
Present: Batch gave an insight into the match and the preparations that had gone into the day. His fourth Q&A since joining us!
Future: John and Dave spoke about the future of the club, upcoming events and opportunities for supporters and businesses to get involved through sponsorship.
Youth Concern spoke brilliantly about the fantastic work they do supporting young people in the Aylesbury community.
Simon Lacey spoke about his upcoming London Marathon run in support of Youth Concern and shared his fundraising page for anyone who would like to support:
