End of Season Awards

On Friday 8th May, Aylesbury United FC held their end of season awards ceremony at The Railway Club. In a showpiece event which was headlined by special guest Tony Cottee, we were treated to a fish and chip supper from The Codfather, goals of the season and a tribute to Jack Wood who became Aylesbury United’s record appearance holder.
Manager's Player of the Year: Luke Martin. Luke has proven to be a versatile mainstay of the team, playing in multiple positions during his 36 appearances this season. He has set standards on the pitch and in training to make himself one of the first names on the team sheet.
Player's Player of the Year: Jake Bewley. Second highest appearance maker for the team in the current squad, Jake missed just 4 games this season and scored 4 goals in the season, 3 of them memorable free kicks.
Young Player of the Year: Finlay Reeves. First signing by Paul Batchelor when he took over as manager, Fin scored 10 goals in his first season in Men's football, including a fantastic hat trick against Enfield FC.
Supporter's Player of the Year: Rocko Tamplin. In a close vote, Rocko edged out two other players to win the vote from the terraces. A crowd favourite, his never-say-die efforts saw him score 8 goals and contribute 5 assists in a fine season for him personally.
Clubman of the Year: Ian Pluck – has given so much to the club over many seasons and remained steadfast in his role despite the chaos happening around him. Ian exemplifies what makes our club so special, turning up week in week out, undertaking a crucial role and going above and beyond to ensure the clubs success.
The night concluded with a raffle and auction which raised vital funds for 21CD Supporters Trust and made a number for fans very happy indeed.
