Legends Day

Aylesbury United Football Club will celebrate its rich history and the people who helped shape it with a special Legends Day event on Saturday 11 April 2026 at The Meadow, Chesham, ahead of the club’s home fixture against Stotfold FC.

Running from 1:00pm to 5:00pm, the event will bring together former players, supporters, and members of the local community to celebrate the proud heritage of one of Buckinghamshire’s most historic football clubs. Usual matchday entry fees apply - there are no additional fees for the exhibition. Founded in 1897, Aylesbury United has played an important role in non-league football for more than a century. The club were Southern League champions in 1987–88, became the first non-league team to be televised live, and remain the only non-league team ever to have played against England.

Legends Day will give supporters the opportunity to reconnect with the club’s past and celebrate the figures who helped build its reputation.

Parking is available at the ground, with further parking available in the local residential streets. Please be mindful of our neighbours when arriving and leaving. If additional space is needed there is alternate free parking on the gravel hardstanding area on The Moor (NB height restricted entry, cars only) and payable parking in the town car parks. These are all within about 5-10 minutes normal walking distance of the ground.

A Celebration of the Ducks’ History

The afternoon will feature a memorabilia exhibition, showcasing rare programmes, historic photographs, medals, shirts, and other items from Aylesbury United’s archives. Supporters are also invited to bring along items from their own collections, with those contributing memorabilia receiving complimentary entry to the match.

Fans will also have the chance to meet and chat with former players and managers, share memories, and relive iconic moments from the club’s history.

The celebrations will then lead into the club’s home match against Stotfold FC, creating a full afternoon of football and nostalgia for supporters of all generations.

Local businesses are also being invited to take part in the event through Legends Day sponsorship opportunities. Packages include matchday promotion, advertising opportunities, and hospitality access, offering businesses the chance to support their local club while gaining exposure to the Aylesbury United community.
