Waltham Abbey

A quick turnaround for both teams as we take on Waltham Abbey at The Meadow on Wednesday evening in the Southern Leag
ue Division One Central.
Waltham Abbey nicknamed “The Abbotts”, were formed in 1944 and are managed by Marc Weatherstone. They were Southern League Central Division One Play-Off Runners Up in 2023-2024 and finished 3rd in the Isthmian League North Divsion last season before transferring back to the Southern League.
The Ducks come into today’s game on the back of a 3-1 win away at Hadley on Saturday which moved us up to 14th place in the table. It took a while to get a grip of the game and were lucky not to be behind with the posts taking a battering and a penalty miss by Hadley. Some clinical finishing from Baks and George ensured we got our first away points of the season.

Our visitors had a superb 7-1 FA Trophy win against AFC Croydon Athletic. They currently sit in ninth place in the table with 9 points from 4 matches, the last three all wins most recently at home to Leverstock Green which finished 2-1.
